Fieldwork Opportunities Habitants range from
woodlands, heather moorlands and grasslands to nutrient rich meres,
upland and lowland peatlands, streams, rivers, ponds and canals. For
the geographer, glacial, periglacial ans furvival landforms complement
the unique solid geology of the area. Historic settlements such as
Shrewsbusy and Ludlow, and the new town of Telford are ideal for urban
and settlement pattern studies. Ironbridge, "Birthplace of |
the Industrial Revolution", is a short distance away.
Accommodation 80 beds - students are accommodated in
mainly shared rooms and small dormitories. Facilities 4
laboratories/ workrooms, library, computer room, drying room, student
common room, weather station, visiting staff common room, weather
station, shop, dark room, two fully instrumented catchments. |
